For our latest Top 5 Tracks interview series, we caught up with GIGEE. She has recently released her EP ‘Lullaby’ on mobilee. This is the Polish-born, Paris-based live wire’s debut on the prestigious label – everything about this girl is fire, she’s definitely making her mark on the scene right now!

With a fruitful career working behind the scenes in electronic music for many years, GIGEE finally stepped into the spotlight herself with her debut EP in October on Katermuke. Following that success (supported by Charlotte de Witte whilst still charting high on Beatport) she’s back with this four tracker, including AFFKT and Ivan Masa remixes.

Parisian producers search out rhythms from around the world and weave together hybrid genres from whatever washes up on their hard drives. Le Terrible” from Terence Fixmer is one of those.

This is the other side of the Parisian sound, still electronic but leaving the techno field. This song is also a good example of the peculiar “Parisian sound” that was emerging at that time.
