October will see us return to one of our favourite cities, Amsterdam. This time we will be attending the world famous five-day electronic music marathon, Amsterdam Dance Event in its 21st edition. The event really has everything to offer our eyes, ears and heart’s desire.
We look forward to the city going into overdrive with 2,200 different artists playing all varieties of electronic music across 120 of Amsterdam’s best clubs, as well as daytime conferences with music technology professionals and our fellow media colleagues. There will be exhibitions and demos of the latest music gear, pop up parties, art exhibitions, and film premieres.
Posters, flags, and queues for the events are visible throughout the entire city. Regular cafes and music stores turn into after party spots, offering a different type of jam for your breakfast. All of this helps create an outlandish, unique vibe in this gorgeous, vibrant city.
It’s fantastic to see how valued music can be in the right environment. Amsterdam has clearly recognised the cultural value of a blooming music scene and fully embraces it with licencing and noise regulations that enhance rather than impede opportunities for such events.
As we have often said, music breaks down barriers and speaks where words fail, and nowhere does it speak louder than at ADE, meaning this is an essential event of 2016!
