Since his first release in 1993, UMEK has established himself as one of Slovenia’s finest electronic exports, boasting a back-catalogue of projects that most DJs would dream of, releasing on labels such as Toolroom, Tronic, Intec Digital, his very own 1605 plus many more, constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of Dance music throughout his career.

The Slovenian kicks the release off with the title-named track, ‘Shadow Tactics’, a pounding Techno come Drum and Bass workout that combines breakbeat elements with an uncompromising four-to-the-floor rhythm packed with sharp synths and other industrial effects.

POPOF’s edit of ‘Shadow Tactics’ follows on, seeing the Parisian add a number of squelching synths patterns, omitting the Drum and Bass elements for a headstrong six-minute Techno track.

Closing this excellent three-track package is Mar-T’s remix of ‘Shadow Tactics’, transforming the track into a pulsating Tech-House offering packed with tight drums and crisp percussive elements.
