We recently caught up with ANII as she headed from Canada to play in Mexico.
She also has a recent release out now on her own label, TOO GOOD TO DIE – PURCHASE LINK
Q1. So, tell us where you departed from and landed into today?
Departed from a show in Toronto, Canada and then landed in Guadalajara in Mexico 😊
Q2. Is this a one-off show, or part of a bigger tour? (If a tour, tell us where you have been so far)
This show is part of a 6 week tour and is show number 2. I have gigs coming up in Colombia, China, Canada, India, Hungry and also a show in New York for New Years Eve. What a treat! I am really looking forward to it.
Q3. What venue are you playing tonight and who else is on the line up?
The show is at a club called DTM Club, in Guadalajara. I am headlining the show!
Q4. What is one item you can’t travel without?
On my must have list, is a sound card, my laptop, mixing headphones and ear pods. I know I am supposed to choose just one thing, but that’s impossible. Without these, I cant survive on the road, or at my shows!
Q5. Tell us your typical gig schedule – do you get to see much of the places you visit?
Not really which is sad. Usually as most DJs will tell you, we arrive, see the hotel and maybe have time for a nice dinner, and then head to the club. Depends on when you get back from the show, as sometimes you have a morning, but when you have back to back shows, its normally leaving right away. If I can stay longer I will, and get a day of rest in-between shows, but it often doesn’t work out.
Q6. One thing you hate about being on the road?
Getting lonely…
Q7. Finally, tell is the worst / funniest thing that’s happened to you whilst on the road?
Where do I start. Once my agent called me with a disaster Tornado, we had some flight cancellations, and then some emergency landings in the wrong country, but safety first! I also slept in a toilet in China and twisted my ankle in 4 places on the road, so I ended up walking around with crutches with shows ahead in Chlie and Argentina. I had to be carried out the plane in Dubai when I landed. That was a rough time!
