We had a chat with the two boys behind the clothing brand Housik. Dale & Lee recently teamed up with Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records to launch a clothing line which has been a massive success. We spoke about how the link up took place, how the brand first started plus more!

Lets start with talking about the link up with Madtech Records…

The link up happened when Gaz from MadTech got in touch with us as he really loved our simple, clean designs and said we were just what they were looking for. We’d previously been approached by quite a few companies to collaborate but declined as weren’t right for us but we’re big fans of MadTech so it was a instant no brainer.

HOUSIK – How did it start? 

Dale and I both DJ and run a night in Norwich called YAYA and with going to various raves and people watching we both felt the house music industry was lacking decent and well designed clothing so we decided to make our own!

Who would you say your favourite DJs are at the moment?

Lee – Pretty much everybody we’ve had play for us at YAYA would fall into this category as we book who we love! A particular DJ I really rate for his production and energy behind the decks is Jacky. Also a big fan of the Romanian’s such as Rhadoo and Raresh who know their stuff.

Dale – Mine are pretty much the same as what Lee has mentioned above but would also include the masters Loco Dice and Marco Carola who I have listened to and looked up to for years.

Do you see yourselves making an appearance over in Ibiza this year with your brand?

Most definitely will be seeing quite a bit of the brand in Ibiza. We’ve got DJ’s lined up to rock our stuff and we’re in talks for some potential big deals too.
