A brand new venture between leading minds in music from around the globe, Orbit DJ Retreats will deliver an immersive and holistic learning experience for DJ’s, producers and music industry enthusiasts to elevate their skills and knowledge to the next level.
Taking place in unique locations across the world, Orbit DJ Retreats will launch this October in the centre of a stunning UNESCO protected national park in Ibiza.
During the five day retreat, students will be mentored by a collection of the most successful and innovative names in electronic music and beyond.
DJ, Producer and Orbit Co-Founder Doorly will be joined by certified tutors from Ableton, Pioneer and Logic, plus a host of experts from across a broad spectrum of fields, including Matt Robson-Scott from Gorgon City, DJ, promoter and music industry legend; Rob Da Bank, techno DJ and producer; Juliet Fox, Hot Creations; Davina Moss and a plethora of leading lights in the industry from Ibiza Rocks, Pacha Group, Paxx Group, Avalon Hollywood, Crockford Management and more.
Doorly, Orbit co-founder said: I’ve been lucky enough in my career to have been helped by some of my hero’s along the way, so I take being a mentor to young and breakthrough artists very seriously. I’m extremely proud of the success stories I’ve been able to coach and inspire in recent years and I know how much it means when somebody you respect can make a little time to guide you.
Orbit really is going to be a life changing project for some of our students and after 20 years in this industry I feel I’ve got a lot of knowledge to share on how to enjoy a long and healthy career in music. I’m also excited to launch the Orbit Scholarship which will enable one local student at each of our retreats the opportunity to take part in the programme for free.
Orbit aims to be a truly global project so I’ve assembled a crack team of partners from Europe, the USA and Australia. Fittingly we launch our first and very exclusive event in Ibiza, the dance music capital of the world and my home for many years, so I’m super excited to get started and can’t wait to create some superstars!
Orbit’s programme will cover all the essentials to succeed in the music industry, including; using DJ equipment at the highest level of performance, mastering production and software skills, marketing, social media and branding, business and career development, plus workshops and classes focused on health and wellbeing.
