Out now is Anja Schneider’s amazing 9 track album out on Sous Records, ‘SoMe’. This is the first album in nine years from the influential Berlin-based artist and also marks the first release since she left mobilee, the label she founded 12 years ago.

She describes ‘SoMe’ as a historical walk back to her musical roots. In it, she draws inspiration from Berlin techno of yesteryear, old skool house, electronica and ragga influences. There is also her first foray into drum & bass, inspired by years of raving to d&b in Berlin throughout the 90s, plus an excellent collaboration with the Stereo MCs.

Anja’s move away from mobilee – a label and collective that’s been synonymous with her artist profile since the beginning – coupled with the fact it’s her first album in almost a decade, makes this a very significant release and the beginning of a new career chapter for her.
