Behind The Scenes – Seven Dials

For our next Behind The Scenes we caught up with Seb Zito around his Seven Dials imprint. They also are taking over Studio 338 Saturday, will be a great day with this amazing weather in London!

Hi Seb, how you doing mate?

Im good thanks, just really busy ahead of this Saturdays Seven Dials party at Studio 338.

Let’s start by asking, how did the birth of Seven Dials originally happen and how long has it been running?

Back in 2017, the idea was to bring House & Garage back together as it once was when I was a younger. The music works so well together but I also wanted to add my stripped back Fuse minimal style to it, along with anything else that took my fancy.

Where is the label/party based?

London based.

Do you have any upcoming releases we can talk about that are planned in the pipeline?

The next EP is from Silver, 3 slick Garage infused bits, then there’s a release from Hector Couto and then a release from Audiojack to follow.

Do you have any recently released tracks/EPs you’d like to tell us about?

A joint number with James View which was just released on Seven Dials called ‘Give It Some’, and I had a release on Black Book called ‘Lights Down’ in April that got loads of BBC R1 heat and great support.

Do you have any upcoming parties in the pipeline?

We have our first Label showcase this Saturday at Studio 338 which will kick off in the garden and then move into the terrace. It’s gonna be a hot one so should be a great day / night.

Do you have anymore events planned for the rest of the year?

There will be a follow up to the label showcase this year.

How would you describe the sound of Seven Dials to someone who hasn’t heard before?

It’s UK rave music with a Seb Zito twist 🙂

How far ahead is your record labels release schedule looking like?

Packed right up to the end of this year and even the start of next year.

What are your record label plans for the next 5 years?

I plan to take the label show cases around the world and at get featured at all the major clubs & festivals.

To sign music with Seven Dials, what is the process?

Just send me tracks, it’s pretty simple! Although I always tell producers to know the label sound and only send music that is relevant. We have so many demos to go through. But there’s always gold in there.
