Next up on our ‘Cowlin Presents‘ series is an amazing interview with German duo act Kaiserdisco. The boys have been heavily supported by record label Drumcode with their own releases, as well as making an impact on the scene with their heavy hitting DJ sets.
We spoke about their newest addition to their catalog which has recently been released on Drumcode Records, how the boys get each other motivated in the studio, what we can expect to hear from them next plus so much more…
When working in the studio, how do you get each other motivated?
Most of the time we get our motivation from traveling or we are just jamming and see if something pops up that we like. Sometimes it can take a few hours or days but most of the time we are able to work on a new track after 1 hour of jamming.
How long your recent project take to complete which is now out on Drumcode Records?
To complete the Toleranz EP it took around 4 weeks. We are working almost 1 week on every track as we are adding a lot of automations to the tracks. Than we do a short mastering to test them.

Usually our favourite spots are in South America, especially Peru which is one of our favourite places. But this year we had a lot of great parties in Europe. Very special for us was Warsaw in Poland where we had the pleasure to play 3 times in 12 months.
The first time was at Instytut which is a huge hall where they still do electricity tests. The promoter is super nice and the crowd was just amazing.. The combination was magical! Thats why we are always looking forward to play again in Poland.
How did you both meet and what made you both decide you’d be a duo?
We were already used to working as a duo because of our projects before Kaiserdisco. The first production we did together was a colaboration. We had so much fun and had lots of ideas that we decided to start something new so Kaiserdisco was born.
What’s your next project that we can expect to hear?
After our Toleranz EP on Drumcode, the next project is another colaboration with Alex Costa. Alex is an artist from Italy and has already releasing on our labels KD Music and RAW for a few years now.
We like his tracks a lot and just finished 2 new tracks with him. They are going to be released on December 12th on RAW.
What’s been your biggest highlight of your music career and why?
Playing at Space Ibiza was always lots of fun and we will miss the club massively.
What other DJs have been supporting your music?
Almost every one of our favourite DJs played some tracks from us. For example Richie Hawtin was a big supporter in the beginning of our career but also other DJs like Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Chris Liebing or Monika Kruse still playing tracks from us which makes us still very happy and thankful.
