From the young age of 14, Francis White’s passion for underground music grew from entering clubs underage with his older friends. 10 years on, he’s now releasing music on some heavyweight record labels including Elrow, NONSTOP, Paul’s Boutique, Happy Techno Music, Solved Music plus more…

How did the release come about with Elrow?

It was a surprise! I had some tracks that seemed to be very cool, something different from what I used to produce. My friend, during a party, said to me, “Francis, why don’t you try to send some of your stuff to Elrow Music?”. After a few weeks, De La Swing was very excited about my tracks and then was born “HOUSDZ EP”.

What releases can we expect to hear from you in the next months? 

In August, I will will be releasing a track on on NONSTOP, a label owned by Pirupa. In September I have an EP on Witty Tunes, that is a historic label who I have followed since I first started playing. I also have some tracks on other labels such as, Happy Techno Music, Solved Music and my own DOC Music.

When did you first start DJing and how did you get involved in it all?

When I was 14 was the first time I went to a club, I used to go secretly with my older friends! At that point the curiosity for DJing became concrete and thanks to one of my friends, he got me my first performance. I was lucky because I had the possibility to be a resident in a club near my town on Sunday afternoon and that gave me a great visibility.

When working in the studio, would you rather use software plugins or hardware?

In my studio Im currently working with Ableton, at this moment I’m currently working with Arturia’s packs, especially with Prophet. I also use external synth plugins like Bass Station by Novation, Rocket by Waldorf and TB3. I usually also like to take sample’s from old vinyl’s because i try to be as creative as possible.

What artists have been supporting your new releases?

My last EP, “Kindy” on Paul’s Boutique was supported by Paolo Martini, the owner of the label, Paco Osuna who has recently played it at Elrow’s pool party at Ibiza Rocks. Hector Couto, Steve Lawler, De La Swing, Chus & Ceballos, LEON, Karotte and Ruben Mandolini, plus so many more have all been supporting massively.
