With dance music’s hottest Dutch date just around the corner, it’s time to get excited with the hotly anticipated OneFold DGTL ADE 17‘ LP. This year, the label’s annual homage to some of it’s hottest new releases kicks off with a confident cut from Ryan Shepherd, ‘Hip-Hop-Loco‘. Setting the scene for what’s to come, Shepherd’s pounding undercurrent sets the trend for big bass hitters from the likes of Joaquin Koen with his heavy funk ‘Classic Style‘ and Fraser Whelan & Jacque Saraventé, who smashes it out the park with their thrusting, upbeat ‘Pump Out The House‘.
Other highlights include Electrik Cat’s rolling arrangements in his easy listening mover ‘Making Music‘, darting synths and low, gritty sounds from Carl Antony’s ‘Diddy Bom‘, and ‘Who Got Your Back‘, showcasing the talents of Luke Hassan with its distorted vocal loops and atmospheric top lines.
Also featured are LATECOMER & ALBT, who carve out a proper big room banger with epic vocal builds and full bodied bass, and o, who bring the record to a spectacular close with their fresh underground sound, ‘Hurting Bombs‘, a multifaceted beat led cut with vintage speech samples and grisly percussion.
