David Lindmer – Mission Control
This track is a great mood setter for my sets. I like these answering synths and the general groove, so I generally play it in the first few tracks of my sets, as I tend to start off with great energy. It feels like a “time to lift off” track.
Tinlicker – Xanadu
For me this track is the perfect combination of feelings and power. That rolling bassline really cuts through the mix and gives power to the track, while the epic chord progression and melodies create these emotional moments we all love on the dancefloor.
Boris Brejcha – Killing Me
It’s a relatively old track, but ultimately I have been playing it out in most of my sets. It’s a true weapon, and creates a very dark moment, and contrasts strongly with all the melodic and emotional tracks I play beforehand. This one serves as raw power and people (and myself) really go wild on this one.
RÜFÜS du Sol – On my Knees (Cassian Remix)
I have always been a big fan of RÜFÜS du Sol. The can really bring you into their world with their productions, but very often their tracks aren’t necessarily made for the dancefloor. Here Cassian did an incredible job of keeping the essence of the original track while really turning it into a peak time dancefloor burner. Everything in this remix works perfectly in conjunction, from the breakdown to the drop, and again, combines energy with emotion.
Colyn – Oxygen Levels Low
I generally play this track when approaching the end of my set. I love to throw in some more indie / electro tracks, and Colyn did an incredible job of combining the best of Melodic Techno with Indie / electro. These are the moments where we have been going through a long story (my set) and I feel people can really let loose in a different way on this track.
