Hi guys, how you doing?

What’s up guys, first of all thank you for having us! We’re happy to be here and grateful for how our journey’s going so far. Just got back from two weeks in Ibiza so feeling super inspired to make some new music!

Firstly, what new music do you have coming out in the next few months?

The excitement is through the roof right now! First up is this month on Ki Creighton’s label Under No Illusion. It’s a 6-track EP consisting of 3 originals and 3 absolutely bangin remixes! Next up in August is a single on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound, big one that. In early Fall we’re excited to release on Yousef’s Circus Recordings – that’s definitely one we’ve been aiming for since Day 1!

Have you had any recent releases out you can tell us about?

We’ve been busy building up and releasing on our own label Momentos! Go check out our ‘Last Night’ and ‘Runnin’ EP with Diandra and extremely talented Jenny Voss on the vocals. ‘Runnin’ was a special one for us as it peaked at #1 on Beatport Deep House & House Releases. This hit home for us being on our own label and confirmed our belief in what we’re doing with Momentos.

Do you have any exciting upcoming bookings you can tell us about that are coming up?

We got a big one this month playing with Italian legend Stefano Noferini- love what he’s been doing with Deeperfect. We also have our own Momentos party in August to look forward to. Those quarterly brand events mean the world to us and always have an amazing time putting them on! Next up is an extended sunrise set at Same Same But Different Festival. And of course, a couple have yet to be announced, but really looking forward to.

How did you two meet originally and what made you become a duo?

We’ve actually been a duo for 5 years. We met at a music festival in San Diego almost 6 years ago. Immediately after we met the world shut down during COVID, and we used that time to mess around with beats and projects. These projects turned into demos and were getting picked up by labels, and we figured we had something special brewing, so why not keep making tracks together?! Since that time, we’ve rebranded from a more radio friendly production style under the name ‘Twinflame & Rozegarden’, to a more club-focused, globally inspired, simpler name ‘RozálesD’.

How did you first get into music and what were your early inspirations to get into underground music?

Cam: Comical and intense story actually… in 2015 I was admitted into a sober living for my alcohol and drug addiction. That time in my life was shattering and full of loneliness, with not much to live for. My roommate in the recovery home owned a DDJ mixer at the time, and would be mixing house music day & night. After some months went by I realized that I was absolutely in love with it, and the way it made me feel, so I learned from him. Since that day I knew I couldn’t live without house music, and want to spread the same magic that I received during those darkest days.

Drake: While I’ve always been an intense music lover, my background was actually in sports. I played baseball through college, and it consumed most of my life. It wasn’t until after I hung up the cleats and attended my first music festival that everything shifted. Feeling a bit lost in that post-sports transition, I instantly knew music was my new path. I went home, bought my first mixer, and never looked back.

At the time, I was brand new to house music—I grew up on hip hop and R&B—so I literally typed ‘house music’ into YouTube. One of the first things I stumbled upon was a PEZNT track on DFTD, with that iconic red cover burned into my memory. That moment cracked everything open for me and sent me straight down the rabbit hole.

If you could work with any artist away from dance music, who would it be and why?

We would most definitely pull Ashanti out of retirement and make an R&B-infused dancefloor anthem! Ashanti if you’re reading this holla at your boys!

What does your music production setup consist of in the studio? Do you both work in the studio together or work remotely?

We’ve just built out our new home studio – so still a work in progress. We do a lot of stuff in the box and developed a pretty good workflow that way. Occasionally we’ll make some riffs on our Behringer Pro-1 and Novation Bass Station. Our software go-to’s have to be Sub Boom for bass. Synth-wise we love our analog sounds from Diva, Zebra, anything U-he.. their sounds are so massive and warm right out the box. Our monitors and sub-woofer are Adam Audio – we have Adam A7X’s, best bang for your buck while still achieving quality.

What’s your top 3 artists who have inspired you to be where you are today?

Dance music, Hot Since 82– hence the excitement to release on his label next month. His music has been a huge influence on our sound and has stood the test of time. Franky Rizardo’s probably top for us at the moment. His consistency over the years and steady climb has been a benchmark for how we see our careers playing out.

Lastly, we want to shout out Franky Wah, who’s organically become a brother to us. We talk about music, life, and more. He’s been an example to us and how to build from the ground up, and how to be a true artist in this ever-evolving scene. Outside of music he shows us what being a humble and hard-working entrepreneur looks like, and how that translates to being a successful artist.

Away from dance music, what is your go to music to listen to?

Ja Rule, 50 Cent, anything Hip-Hop/R&B from the 90’s and 2000’s is on repeat for us! Oh, and of course Cam loves his reggae. Big shout out to the rastas!
