Having spoke to George early last year before he played We Are FSTVL’s main stage, this boy deserves everything that has happened for him. Watching his performance from last year to where he is now is quite impressive, so we thought we’d catch up with him to see how he’s got to where is now.

We spoke on how he started DJing, whats to come in the future with his own music, whats in the pipeline for his DJ bookings plus a load of other questions which he goes into good detailed answers!

Q. How long have you been performing for and how did you get yourself behind the decks in the first place?

I grew up with my dad heavily invoked within the rave scene. At the age of 12 I was given my first set of decks. At the age 13 i was given my first set in a club in. At the age of 17 I managed to sneak my way into Source Bar and graft a few sets. In March I will be play the famous Source street party which was my end goal as a kid so for me it a massive life tick!

Q. Anything in the future for your own productions?

Production for me has been a timely process but something I’m forever learning and developing. Its something I really dont want to rush but am worried I might get left behind if i dont get things moving soon. So hopefully this year I will push out few of my tracks, collaborations and remixes will be released.

Q. Let’s talk about your recent NYE adventure… How was it?

For me having to share my birthday with a date such at New years eve has always been a fun. As a DJ, NYE is always the biggest date in your calendar, so partnering this as a birthday celebration can be get a little crazy. 2015’s NYE celebration was special for me as I closed my residency at We Are WHSE to 2000+ people, which has been a incredible journey and amazing opportunity over the last 5 months.

When I was told the lineup that I would be featured on I almost fell off my chair! MK headlined the show alongside Bassment Jaxx, Dantiez Saunderson and Eli & Fur. NYE I opened the main room 9-10 which I enjoy as it gives me a chance to dig back through my tracks and explore a slower pace of music just to ease the room ready for the big acts. 8 hours later I went back on the decks to close for MK!

He took his headphones off and passed the mixer over to me. Raised his hands and the whole crowd went nuts!

Q. In 2015 you’ve had numerous amount of highlights, but what has been your biggest?

The key highlight and major impact for me was when I signed my residency at ABODE. ABODE for me has transformed me as a DJ and opened so many doors with it being in such high demand with the push the team give to the residents is incredible. But it really does come down to my good friend Kai who approached me with the idea of this massive sunday party he wanted to throw. originally i was soley the designer of the events artwork and branding but patently waiting to be asked to play rather than ask.

On the third show I was lucky enough to get my chance to play the home of ABODE’S events, Studio 338. I played my first track and i could see everyone around me and the crowd were so engaged and welcoming. After my set Kai came up to me, shook my hand and said “The New ABODE resident”. I owe alot to Kai not only for my residency but for supporting me and pushing me to where I am now in the London scene.

Leon Vynehall – It’s Just (House of Dupree)

Its a track I dont get to play to often but when I do it still lifts me up.

Q. A goal you want to succeed by the end of 2016?

Up until this point have worked my way up but a small hand off luck can fall my way from time to time so nothing seems impossible. So 2016 I’m finally coming to the realisation that anything is possible and with me being invited back to play the main stage at We Are FSTVL for a second year in a row my goals have no limitations. But something I will keep to myself is my personal bucket list. Hopefully I will be able to share this in time knowing I ticked them all off.
